Terms of Service
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Member," "Donor," or "User") and Neurological Wellness Association ("NWA," "we," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, services, or programs (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
NWA is a registered non‑profit focused on promoting neurological well‑being through education, support groups, research, and advocacy. We may provide:
Online educational resources and webinars
In‑person and virtual support groups
Research publications and newsletters
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time.
4. Donations and Fundraising,
Donations are voluntary. By donating, you represent that the payment method is valid and that you are authorized to use it. All donations are non‑refundable, except as required by law. We will issue receipts for tax purposes in accordance with Canadian charity regulations.
All content, logos, trademarks, and materials provided through the Services are owned by NWA or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print materials solely for your personal, non‑commercial use. Any other use requires prior written permission from NWA.
When using the Services, you agree not to:
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Transmit harmful, offensive, or discriminatory content
Infringe on the rights of others (privacy, intellectual property, etc.)
Attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer our systems
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these provisions.
Our Privacy Policy governs how we collect, use, and disclose personal information. By using the Services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. NWA expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NWA and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NWA from all claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of British Columbia .
