From 2018 to 2020 we have been running a grant program using funds derived from our Honey For Hope Fundraising program. To date is has contributed to more than 2100 treatments that cost approximately $500,000.
In March of 2020, we were processing more applications and creating more funding than we ever had in the past. Unfortunately, COVID-19 reduced 100% of record funding to nothing. This reality has put the project on hold for the time being.
The program still has approximately $250,000 in funding that has been promised so people can get the help they need. This amount is our primary fundraising goal at this time. New applications are on hold until we all get through these uncertain times.
No matter what happens with The Q in the future its existence proves that equity in Canadian health care can be achieved if we all work together.
